Learn everything about cosmic anomalies and how to utilize them using this guide to EVE Echoes.
Cosmic anomalies are an excellent source of income in EVE Echoes. Anomalies can be located at any security level, and the higher that level is, the better rewards you can get.
Before trying to locate cosmic space anomalies, be sure to have at least a starter-level combat ship, such as Slasher or Atron, as you will encounter many pirate ships along the way.
With that out of the way, this guide will provide you with a list of all possible anomalies and how to use them in EVE Echoes.
Types of Cosmic Anomalies
There are two types of cosmic anomalies in EVE Echoes:
- Combat Sites (PvE)
- Ore Sites
Combat sites are where you can find cartel ships, which can be destroyed for ISK rewards. If you’re running a combat ship in your fleet, then you can use it to make money inside these combat anomalies.
Ore sites are floating asteroids in space, which can be mined for various types of ores using mining modules, drones, or strip mining. You can learn everything about mining in EVE Echoes using this guide.
How to Locate Anomalies
By default, each player has access to a system scanner (it doesn’t require any extra skills to use). Signatures and anomalies are automatically displayed on the right side of the screen, which is indicated by an eye icon. Follow these steps to unlock anomalies:
- Tap the eye icon on the right side of the screen
- Open the list of all anomalies in the area
- Use the filter button above
- Select “Cosmic Anomalies“
Now you can see a full list of all anomalies in the visible space around you.
Understanding Cosmic Anomalies
F2h war thunder skin. The anomalies list will provide you with the name of all cartel ships in the scanned area, including groups of ships. These will be labeled as:
- Small Anomaly
- Medium Anomaly
- Large Anomaly
These labels represent the size of the anomaly, which indicates the number of cartel ships present within a single dot on the space map. This means that a small anomaly is most likely only one ship and a large anomaly is most likely a fleet of ships.
This information can help you decide whether you want to attack a certain anomaly or not.
There is also a number near each anomaly indicating the difficulty level of the ships inside the anomaly. The higher the number, the more advanced ships are within it.

Base Anomalies
Alongside cartel ships and fleets, you will almost always locate base anomalies when scanning. These represent cartel space bases, where all cartel ships are docked and where they are sent out into surrounding space from.
Bases are highly valuable anomalies, which should not be destroyed under any circumstances. Bases produce quick anomalies within space that respawn as fast as 20 seconds after being destroyed.
If you destroy the cartel base and all its ships, they will no longer respawn in the given sector. This cuts off additional income to you and the rest of the players scanning for anomalies in the same sector.
Scout Anomalies
Sometimes you will notice something unusual in your list of cosmic anomalies: the so-called scout anomalies. These are extremely rare and valuable types of cosmic anomalies.
These are special warp gates that take you to anomalies that hold data cores, which can be sold for a fortune at ITC stations.
Scout anomalies are usually found in high-security space; levels 0.5 to 1.0. This means that you will encounter combat ships of higher tech levels, so be prepared by equipping your own ship with higher-level weaponry.
Data cores can also be used to create ship blueprints, which can then be used to build actual ships at engineering stations.
